Backup policy
Every healthy Harbor app includes baseline daily database backups. Extended backups are optional.
Baseline (included)
- Daily MariaDB dump for healthy apps
- Compressed and stored off-site on Cloudflare R2
- Retention: last 3 successful dumps
- First dump is taken after provision completes
Extended ($5/mo add-on)
- 14-day dump retention
- Dedicated apps: extra snapshots of the whole machine
Restore
Restores are performed with Harbor assistance during support hours. Baseline dumps restore database contents only; application files and object storage are not part of the free baseline. Code rollback in the portal restores a previous application image and does not reverse database migrations.
Limits
Very large databases may be throttled or require extended backup capacity. We may contact you if dumps exceed fair-use sizing for shared MariaDB.
